ENGLISH FOR ORAL COMMUNICATION (OC)

In order to meet the needs of a lot of learners who want to improve their daily communication in English, the Center for Foreign Studies of Nong Lam University has recently built up an Intensive English for Oral Communication Program which can be described as follows:

The aims of the program:

To train learners to produce standard pronunciation and natural interaction in English
To consolidate learners’ practical vocabulary repertoires
To provide learners with opportunities to communicate with native speakers in a dynamic learning environment
To enlarge learners’ knowledge about the cultures of English-speaking countries

The strengths of the Program:

The syllabus is designed with the textbooks of famous publishers such as Cambridge, Oxford and Heinemann. The teaching contents are topical, diversified and practical which aim at helping learners enhance their communication skills constructively.
The learning activities are mainly conducted in pairs or groups. They promote mutual understanding and build up learners’ confidence and passion in studying. Consequently, learners can not only improve their English communication skills but also their other important soft skills to be well-prepared for the international living and working environment.
The teaching staff is carefully chosen with many skillful and experienced Vietnamese and foreign teachers.

· The classrooms are spacious and well-facilitated with computers, projectors, and Internet access.
